Mariam, the most prolific woman in Uganda, gave birth to 44 children by a man. After that, her husband left her, and she had to struggle, caring for her 44 children.
she was born and raised in Uganda in a family of 54 children. Her mother separated from her father when she was young.
She lives with her father, whom she married when she was 12, as the third wife of a 57-year-old man. Mariam planned to have 7 children, but ended up having 44 children.
According to Mariam, she gave birth to triplets and quadruplets. She tried to prevent childbirth by using birth control, but this took a toll on her health and doctors advised her not to use birth control.
She kept telling doctors to close her uterus, but the doctors advised her to keep giving birth to avoid any health problems.
She gave birth to all the children left by her husband. She manufactures and sells medicinal herbs to provide for her children needs.
She said she did her best to get all her children to go to school.
She added that if she could see a responsible man, she could marry him and have more children.
He asked wealthy people to help by buying food, clothing and education for her children. She loves them all and thanks God for them.
